About Karla
When it comes to teaching, I consider myself to be a very patient, motivational person who holds an excitement to see a future glass artist develop and excel. Some people get it right away, and with others, it may take time and understanding to catch on. There is no right or wrong here, nor is there a time limit to getting a hang of things with glass work. Although I am a big people person, I do hold true to making sure everything you need to know to work with stained glass is direct and properly communicated as it is important that you know as much as there is to know when working with glass. We will sit and work together to make what you envision coming to life. I want you feeling confident and ready to create works of your own without my, or anyone's, helping hand once we end our time learning and creating together while also taking home a physical glass work of your own

I’ve always said stained glass is easy to learn, difficult to master. I'm here to teach the basics of stained glass from sharing resources on where to obtain different types and styles of glass to handling and working with glass itself in order to come out with fully soldered pieces based on your creative style // what you want to make. Together, we will go over:
1. Resources for sourcing glass
2. Resources for obtaining materials needed to create stained glass works
3. Tools needed for working with glass
4. How to properly cut and grind glass
5. How to foil and solder
6. How to properly attach materials needed to hang and mount finished pieces
After our time learning, you will walk away not only knowing how to create stained glass works of art, but also with a finished piece itself as one cannot learn without physically completing a work in stained glass. My goal is for you to have whatever you envision creatively to become reality within glass and solder work.
