Hello everyone!
Thank you for visiting my profile!
I am a mechanical engineer turned Data engineer. Currently working as a Senior Data Engineer @ NASDAQ.
A brief background about myself, I worked as Mechanical Engineer and Project/Sales Engineer for 6 years before making the brave decision to transition to a field completely unknown to me. I was exposed to the world of data through learning Power Bi and Excel and slowly dived deep into the rabbit hole.
The biggest challenge I faced during my transition was finding the right mentor/person/resource to talk about the career change, I have come across people over explaining and complicating an easy concept or I was overwhelmed with the amount information on the internet.
What I found worked best for me, was to take a complex concept and break it down so a five year old could understand (figuratively speaking) using this approach. I was able to understand topics faster and able to teach others so they could understand at the same pace.
So I am a big fan of using simple examples to explain complex topics and slowly build momentum to get to the finish line.
Currently I work as Senior Data Engineer at one of the biggest financial institution in the world (NASDAQ).
Through my experience, I hope to guide others in making a successful transition into the field of Data.

As a mechanical engineer turned data engineer with over 2 years of experience in the field, I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new programming language. There is too much information on the internet to process. I will break complex topics to simple & understandable concepts for you to grasp.
I offer SQL tutoring at an hourly rate of $30. I can cover a range of topics, including the ins and outs of SQL syntax, generating reports using sales and user data, analyzing data using aggregate functions, and running complex queries using MySQL logical operators and string functions.
