About Alec
I am an experienced and enthusiastic professional, who is not only passionate about physical education, but also about enabling all students in my care to achieve their potential. My experience aligns well with the qualities and attributes you are seeking to support yourself/your child and I am certain I would be able to make a worthy contribution to your educational journey. I believe in the utmost importance in the role of a teacher; providing necessary feedback, a wealth of skills and more importantly the ability to inspire others. I believe that my combined experiences throughout my academic and sporting career have provided me with the skills and qualities required to be a fantastic facilitator of learning in an innovative and inspiring way that will only add to your already successful staff. I have a vast experience teaching and coaching to such differing ages, ranging from Foundation Phase to KS5. I have encountered different abilities and environments that have allowed me to successfully develop a variety of skills and attributes to articulate and support all learners to become the best that they can be. This has given me the opportunity to implement strategies that engage, inspire and challenge learners at the appropriate level. I fully understand how important a reliable, positive, yet firm role model is for young individuals that need the correct support and guidance when making conscientious decisions. I consider this role a privilege to have the opportunity to have a positive influence on these young lives. I hold very dearly strong core values that are implemented into everyday life. I have acquired these values from upbringing, professional sporting environments and establishments that I have been an influential member of. In the first instance I use VARK to establish how the individual learns best. I will then find out the student's interest to implement into a variety of tasks in an engaging, innovative and challenging way. In my lessons I can stretch and challenge ALN/MAT pupils to ensure they are developing in the area they require. The lessons will last for 50 minutes where I can deliver lessons in: GCSE/A level PE Theory (English) BTEC Sports Science (English) Extended writing and revision strategies PRE-GCSE Foundation Phase/KS2 -English/Phonics/Maths/Science - ALN (Bilingual Welsh/English) Beginner guitar lessons (Bilingual Welsh/English)
