About Brodie

Hi, I'm Brodie, a Sport Development graduate and experienced swim instructor with a passion for helping people of all ages become confident and capable swimmers.

Swimming has been a major part of my life for many years, and I have had the opportunity to compete at a national level, giving me valuable insight into both the technical and performance aspects of the sport. Alongside my competitive experience, I have worked as a swim teacher, helping children and adults develop water confidence, improve their technique, and achieve their personal goals.

My background in Sport allows me to understand how the body moves and learns, helping me break down swimming skills into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I pride myself on being patient, encouraging, and adaptable, ensuring every lesson is tailored to the individual swimmer.

Whether you're looking to learn the basics, improve your strokes, build fitness, or develop competitive swimming skills, I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where you can progress with confidence and enjoy the journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive, enjoyable, and personalised learning environment where students can build confidence while developing their swimming skills. I understand that every swimmer learns at a different pace, so I tailor lessons to suit each student's goals, ability level, and learning style.

Lessons typically range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the student's age, experience, and objectives. Sessions may focus on water confidence, water safety, stroke development, breathing techniques, endurance, or refining swimming performance.

As a Sport Development Graduate and National Swimmer with experience as a swim teacher and sports program facilitator, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults across a range of skill levels. My background has provided me with strong communication, coaching, and instructional skills, allowing me to explain techniques clearly and help students progress effectively.

My lessons are suitable for beginners learning water confidence and basic swimming skills, as well as intermediate swimmers looking to improve technique, fitness, and overall performance. Having competed at a national level in swimming, I can also assist more experienced swimmers who are looking to refine their stroke technique, improve race preparation, and enhance their competitive performance. Whether your goal is to learn to swim, become safer in the water, or take your swimming to the next level, I aim to make each lesson engaging, positive, and rewarding.
