About Lisa

I am a qualified teacher with more than 20 years' experience in education and specialist postgraduate training in dyslexia and supporting neurodivergent learners. I also have degrees in Psychology and English Literature and Language, and additional training in embodiment coaching.

Over the years, I have become increasingly interested in what happens when capable, intelligent people find particular kinds of learning, communication or everyday tasks unexpectedly difficult or exhausting. Often, looking more closely at how someone processes information reveals a much more useful picture than simply focusing on what they struggle with.

I now work with neurodivergent adults and teenagers to help them better understand their individual strengths, challenges and processing needs. I particularly enjoy helping people make sense of patterns they may have been compensating for for years, and finding practical strategies that make work, study and everyday life easier to manage.

My approach is curious, respectful and collaborative. I don't assume that the same strategies will work for everyone, and I believe that understanding how you function best is an important part of developing effective and sustainable ways of working.

My approach is practical, collaborative and tailored to the individual. I work with neurodivergent adults and teenagers to understand how they process information, where their strengths lie, what creates difficulty or excessive cognitive load, and which strategies genuinely help.

Rather than starting with a diagnosis or applying standard ADHD strategies, we look at your individual processing profile. This may include attention, working memory, verbal and auditory processing, executive function, communication, sensory input and how your capacity changes in different situations.

Sessions combine discussion, observation, practical exercises and strategy development. Where appropriate, I also use embodiment-based techniques to help you recognise effort, overload and changes in capacity earlier. We can then experiment with ways to reduce unnecessary cognitive load and make work, learning and everyday tasks more manageable.

I am a qualified teacher with postgraduate specialist training in dyslexia and neurodivergent learning, as well as degrees in Psychology and English Literature and Language. I have over 20 years' experience in education and currently work with neurodivergent adults and young people.

Sessions are usually 60 minutes, with 90-minute sessions available for initial screening and more in-depth work. I work with teenagers and adults with diagnosed or suspected ADHD, dyslexia or other neurodivergent processing differences, as well as people who simply want to better understand their learning and processing needs.
