About Joel

I graduated with 5 distinctions at GCE A' Levels and I've been teaching for the past 3 years, and have gotten my students' english grades from S to B (in 6 months), C to A in 3 months, D to B (6 months).

Besides my legal career, I'm a host on an online podcast. I've worked with an English dialect coach who trains Embassy officials and diplomats in different countries on improving my oratory skills for several years.

Over 4,000 people in 50 countries listen to my English podcast and it has been placed on Apple's in countries like Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.

My Qualities: Reliable, trustworthy, respectful, loyal, enthusiastic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and willing to push my students' comfort zones. Good situational awareness and be happy to meet students' needs. Exude positive energy, a warm personality, open to learning.

About the lesson

If you want to be persuasive, both verbally and in writing, I can equip you at an advanced level. I am a native English speaker and reading my final year of Bachelor (Hons) degree in Law at the National University of Singapore (Ranked 8th globally, current First Class Honors GPA). I was accepted into law programs at the London School of Economics and Kings College London. I was offered full scholarships from Yale-NUS, and Singapore Management U. I also interview business owners of many different countries on my Apple's #1 Podcast.

I specialize in English and help those who want to develop their command of English, including how to think, write, speak clearly and different tips and tricks for how to speed read, organise their thoughts, or converse with people with emotional intelligence!

I pay attention to and am patient with my students and their writing or speaking goals. I coach with the most efficient techniques and strategy for vocabulary, grammar and conversational/critical thinking skills.

I'm happy to give homework too.
