About Shaakirah

My name is Shaakirah and I am the eldest of 4 children. I have had the privilege of watching and helping my siblings grow into intelligent and well-rounded human beings and I came to realise that my calling is working with and moulding the minds of the future leaders of the world. I have a firm belief in the raw intellect of young people and their capability to understand and comprehend a lot more than previous generations ever could. It is scary to think that your kids know more than you but I think that it has the potential to be an important upgrade to society if we can finally learn to hone their skills and not take it personally. I do believe the children are the future and if you want your child to have the influence of someone who would take the time and effort to understand them, then I'm your girl.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored toward each student's progression ability. Together we will assess where the deficits within the subjects are and move forward toward greater understanding. I encourage a safe and conducive learning environment for my students and will avail myself to any parents looking for suggestions and pointers as to how to create such an environment at home. I believe that learning should be a good experience and not feel like a burden. I also believe in holistic and individualistic growth as learning is about expanding the mind to reach beyond the thresholds present in society.
