About Julie

I started my career when I was 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. I entered a work study program which was supposed to last 2 weeks in an Autism classroom at the local elementary school. This turned into a paid full time contract position for the remainder of my high school years. Through college I worked as an independent tutor and caregiver, and worked in the schools as a substitute, teachers aid, and office/admissions.
I have a Dual Bachelors in Special Education K-12, and General Education K-6, with endorsements in Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I have taught all grade levels, both in a self contained capacity, and an integrated/pull out level. I taught high school jumpstart (career and life readiness) for high risk youth as well.
I have a passion, love, and desire for what I do. It is even more important for me to give individuals their own sense of success and independence as I monitor life as a mom of a son with Autism. So now I have the professional, and personal experience to really understand and relate to my clientele.

About the lesson

With over 20 years of experience, I have done it all. I can custom tailor all lesson plans and goals to fit the individual needs of my clients/students. I have taught all ages throughout my career as well as all grade levels. I can help set attainable goals in any area of development. Need help with community goals. academic goals, IEP progress, job preparedness? I am your one stop shop. We can work as little or as much as is needed to feel successful and confident.
