I am a certified former special education teacher, itinerant teacher, and early intervention provider. I am certified in birth-grade 6. I am also a certified DIR Floortime Provider, a developmental approach to working with students with ASD and developmental delays.

I believe in my commitment to education and children. I have expertise in differentiating instruction and strong communication and leadership skills. Being a highly adaptable and versatile educator, I have enjoyed the opportunity to teach a diverse group of children including those with neurodevelopmental delays, autism, speech impairments, learning disabilities, and physical challenges. I have grown with these experiences in to a well-rounded and compassionate educator who looks at each student individually and learns their goals, strengths, needs, and interests. I truly believe the relationship educators build with their students help them reach their full potential in the classroom.
My greatest capability is facilitating all styles of learning and welcoming each opportunity to learn from my students as well. I develop multi-sensory lesson plans to meet the needs of auditory, visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. I also incorporate various forms of technology, learning centers, manipulatives, group work, and thematic units that are developmentally appropriate to teach new concepts and material.
