A Typical Lesson Plan

2. Skill focus – Target one executive functioning or study skill (e.g., organizing assignments, breaking down tasks, test preparation, note-taking)
3. Application – Apply the skill directly to the student’s current work or upcoming assignments
4. Practice and coaching – Guided practice with fading support
5. Reflection and planning – Identify strategies to use independently before the next session
