As mentioned , I have been teaching Special Education (Moderate to Severe) for over 20 years. I also teach for a college for teachers obtaining their Special Education credentials for over 20 years. I truly feel the development of functional and life skills are crucial for these students’ development.

I feel development of functional and life skills are crucial for the development of independence for students in a moderate to severe classroom. These skills will help them become successful in a day program following their school placement. I have taught moderate to severe for over 20 years and feel these skills are the most crucial for their future development.
