About Kiran

Southern India Gold medalist in community based competition, A professional classical dancer with 10+yrs of learning who had the privilege to perform in front of chief Minister & Home Minister and I've also been a part of occasional dancing on various local TV channels. One of my specialities is expressions. I tend to add expression in every mudra/step and which to me is the soul & spirit of any dance form.

About the lesson

Firstly, I try to understand the expectation of a student out of this course. Do they have any upcoming competition to perform or is it their long term goal? I try to meet the requirements of individual students as it might differ from one to other.
Then I go ahead by explaining the basics or brushing up the basics if the student is already aware of it.
I love portraying expressions in dance. Each step has its own meaning & expression. I not only teach them dance but also give them the essence of emotion which to me is the soul of the dance.
I analyse the students performance & give them feedback after every move and tend to show them the difference between performing & achieving mere perfection! I not only give them the rules of the dance but also answer their why's. I give them a walk through to each mudra and its importance & meaning and where can they use. So that my students can choreograph their own moves and i can leverage their potential and improvise them to achieve better. I am for mere perfection and ask my students to follow the same. I'm flexible in my teaching and can teach students belonging to all age groups including school children, college level, adults etc,.
I'll further share my experiences like controlling their breath while dancing and much more..

Kiran is the best teacher you can get in this world. Her level of dedication is on another level. Enough though she injured her legs and doctor suggested her to not dance, she pursuied her dancing and won gold medal in southern India level competition. I can guarantee that any student learning under her will be the best version of themself. I will strongly suggest anyone who wants to make an impact in the field of dancing, should surely learn under kiran.
