About Caroline

Caroline Felkins is a senior at UNC School of the Arts, pursuing a BFA in Contemporary Dance. She has been training in classical ballet since the age of 3. Caroline has spent her summers studying with Boston Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet to name a few. Caroline continued her training at Charlotte Ballet Academy (2017-2019) under prestigious faculty. During this time, she gained experience teaching dance both locally and in Nicaragua. At UNCSA, Caroline has had the pleasure of performing works by legendary choreographers who have made modern dance what it is today: Robert Battle, Merce Cunningham, Sidra Bell, Gina Patterson, and others. Recently, she has created and performed in numerous dance films in collaboration with other artists. Continuing in these pursuits, Caroline hopes to have a career that enriches lives through her art.

About the lesson

We aim to connect our mind and body through free flowing movement, enabled by a strong technical base found in the beginning of class. I will always take into account the individual I’m working with and their needs, recognizing that we are people first, dancers second!
