About Dominique
Hi, I’m a passionate and experienced coding tutor. I’ve sold multiple apps for over $1,000, consistently earn straight A’s in my computer science courses, and helped my younger brother raise his CS grade from a C to an A. I understand how to explain coding concepts clearly, especially to younger students. My teaching approach is hands-on and supportive. I watch you try first, then guide you by explaining what went wrong and how to improve. I break down each line of code, explain why it’s used, and help you apply your learning through practical exercises and fun projects. I don’t rely on tests or busywork—I focus on making sure you truly understand what you’re doing. I also encourage the use of external tools like AI, as long as you can explain how the code works. My teaching method is simple: I watch you try first, then explain what went wrong and how to fix it. I’ll walk you through each line of code—what it does and why we use it—then have you complete exercises or build a project based on the lesson.
These lessons are for everyone and focus on applying what you learn. I don’t believe in traditional quizzes or written tests—I just want to see that you understand what you're doing.
What sets me apart is that I allow students to use external tools, as long as they can explain what the code does. More schools and jobs are integrating AI into their workflows, so it’s important to understand both how to code and how to use modern tools effectively.
