About Marc

I've always enjoyed solving complex technical problems and when I discovered coding, I found it highly satisfying watching the code come to life to build interactive systems and dashboards that support people in simple or challenging activities.

As a developer, I've worked in multiple roles within investment banking and education to support very large systems that require 24/7 uptime and understanding the intricacies of large databases.

I currently work freelance developing in Java, PHP, SQL and WordPress although I also have a great deal of experience teaching Python and using many developer tools such as Git, JUnit, Jenkins, Spring for modern software development.

In my teaching I prefer to focus on helping my students to understand commonly used industry practices and techniques to support them in preparation for a new career in software or web development.

About the lesson

I prefer to work through common practical programming challenges and explore learning new concepts using problem solving and hands-on approach.

Each lesson will focus on a specific element of programming or computer science and we will work through developing the code together.

This will help develop your fundamental skills in writing, debugging and producing high-quality code that conforms to industry recognised coding standards and processes.

My lessons aim to prepare you working in inductry and helping you get your first job as a software or web developer.

I have experience delivering programming lessons for a tech bootcamp startup and working with students from high school to University level.
