About Martin
I gained a first-class degree and masters in physics between 2007-2011 then also a Ph.D. in particle physics in 2016, so I have relatively recent experience of the British STEM education system. However, I did not pursue postdoctoral research after gaining my Ph.D. and have been working as a software engineer since 2018.
I have only minimal experience offering tuition but the main thing is that I'm confident of having the knowledge/understanding to easily help GCSE and A-level students struggling with their physics or maths. I can also assist those who need help with programming in the C++ language, which I use every day and have years of experience with.
I do not have formal lessons planned out, I'm hoping to be someone that you can just fire random questions at, as and when you need some help.

I'm quite new to this sort of thing so what I lack in experience I will hopefully make up for with low fees. I'm offering something informal and 'ad-hoc' rather rather than having a set of timed, structured lessons planned out - just contact me with whatever you're stuck with and we'll get to the bottom of it. I have plenty of free time in evenings to respond quickly and I enjoy helping people understand things.
