About Nahal
I am an Honors Sociology graduate and current Master’s student in Immigration and Settlement Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. My academic background has given me strong research, writing, and critical-thinking skills, along with experience breaking down complex social science concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I am patient, organized, and supportive, and I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to create a comfortable space where students feel confident asking questions, improving their writing, and strengthening their understanding of course material. I am especially well suited to students studying sociology, social sciences, research, academic writing, and related subjects.

I take a supportive and practical approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. I can help with sociology, social sciences, research, essay planning, academic writing, and understanding complex theories and concepts.
A typical lesson may include reviewing course material, breaking down difficult concepts into simpler language, working through assignments or readings, and creating a clear plan for upcoming essays, tests, or projects. I also focus on helping students strengthen their own critical thinking and writing skills rather than simply giving them answers.
What sets me apart is my academic background in Sociology and graduate studies in Immigration and Settlement Studies, as well as my experience with research and community-based work. I understand how overwhelming university-level readings and assignments can feel, and I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions without feeling judged.
My lessons are best suited for high school, college, and undergraduate students studying sociology, social sciences, research methods, or related subjects.
