About Lily
Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a Social Work graduate from Keele University and have recently secured my first qualified Social Worker role. Before university, I also completed a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. During my degree I completed placements within both children’s and adult social care, gaining experience in safeguarding, assessments, mental capacity, care planning and working with other professionals. I know how overwhelming studying, placements and assignments can sometimes feel, so I’d love to use my experience to support other students in a friendly, relaxed and judgement-free way. I’m passionate about helping students build their confidence and understand social work theory in a way that actually makes sense in practice.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to what you need support with. I can help Social Work and Health & Social Care students with topics such as safeguarding, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, assessments, reflective practice, placement preparation and interview skills. I can also support you with structuring academic work, understanding feedback and developing your writing, without completing assessed work for you. My aim is to explain things simply, build your confidence and relate theory to real-life practice examples. Sessions can be adapted around your course, upcoming assignments, placement or areas you find difficult.
