I graduated from East Carolina University with Honors. I have a degree in History Education and History. I have taught World History and Civics and Economics. I have a license to teach History, Geography, Government and Economics, Sociology, and Psychology. I have also taught Social Studies, Math. Science, and English for Middle and High School grades.

My teaching approach is the hands-on approach to teaching. I like to use collaborative and cooperative techniques in the classroom. I believe in giving students control and autonomy over their education. I believe students are more willing to engage when given ownership over the learning process. I also use class discussions and debates to establish critical and higher order thinking skills. I like to use engaging and stimulating activities throughout the lesson such as jigsaws, simulations, think-pair share, and gallery walks. I also like for students to complete projects in groups with the use of technology.
