About Nyla
I am a professional piano tutor with 14 years of experience and a proven record of successfully teaching around 300 students. My learners include high school students, college learners, and adults who want to improve their technical skill, performance confidence, and musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy combines structured learning with encouragement and creativity. I focus on developing a solid technical foundation through finger exercises, scales, chord transitions, rhythm practice, and sight-reading. I also emphasise musicality, phrasing, and expressive interpretation to help students communicate emotion through their playing.
Lessons are carefully planned with technical exercises, theory application, repertoire practice, and performance preparation. I adapt my teaching style to suit individual goals, whether students are preparing for examinations, recitals, or personal enjoyment.
Many of my students have achieved excellent examination results and demonstrated strong performance confidence. I am committed to guiding each student with patience, structure, and motivation so they can unlock their full potential and foster a lifelong love of piano.

My methodology for piano teaching emphasises communication, creativity, flexibility, and balanced growth. I believe technical skills and emotional expression should develop together. I carefully teach correct posture, hand coordination, dynamic control, and timing accuracy.
Communication builds trust and helps students stay focused on improvement. Creativity allows students to interpret music with feeling and develop their own artistic voice. I encourage exploration of different genres and expressive techniques.
Flexibility ensures that each lesson plan is tailored to the student’s age, level, and personal goals. I also include music theory, harmony studies, sight reading, and performance preparation. My goal is to inspire confidence, discipline, and long-term passion for piano learning.
