About Ivy
Hello! I’m a guitar instructor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music specializing in Guitar Traditions. My background blends academic training with practical experience in metal, shred, and progressive rock. These styles inspire both speed and creativity. I love helping students master them.
Lessons focus on technical growth. Speed comes from control. Students practice alternate picking, sweep picking, tapping, and legato techniques. Each exercise builds strength and coordination.
I teach both younger players and adult learners. Lessons are personalized for each student. Everyone progresses at a different pace.
Some students want to improve rhythm playing. Others want to shred fast solos. Both paths are exciting. Music theory supports every lesson. Scales and phrasing become practical tools.
