Dear future designers, I’m Deborah Jacobs, a passionate fashion designer, creative thinker, and—above all—an educator who believes in the power of style to tell stories, challenge norms, and create change. Fashion has been my language for as long as I can remember. It’s how I express who I am, how I see the world, and how I connect with others. I don’t teach you how to create like someone else—I guide you to explore your own perspective, culture, and ideas so your work stands out as original, thoughtful, and bold. Hands-On Learning, Always From the first day, you’ll be sketching, draping, experimenting, and making. I believe in learning by doing—because fashion isn't just something you learn, it's something you live. Design With Purpose I push you to think deeper. Who are you designing for? Why does it matter? We talk sustainability, inclusivity, and storytelling—so your work doesn’t just look good, it means something. Real-World Ready I bring industry insight into the classroom—whether it's critiques, portfolio-building, or collaborating on mock fashion shows. You won’t just be a student; you’ll feel like a designer in training. Supportive, Not Standardized I teach with compassion, not comparison. I challenge you, but I also listen.
