About Luiza
My name is Luiza and I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker who is also fluent in English. I have grown up surrounded by different languages and cultures, which has given me a real passion for languages and communication.
I love travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds. Having learned other languages myself, I understand both the challenges and rewards that come with learning a new language.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Portuguese and currently study languages at A-level. I would love to teach Portuguese because I want to help others become more confident speaking the language while also sharing Brazilian language and culture.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.

My lessons are friendly and personalised to each student’s level and goals. I want students to feel comfortable speaking Portuguese without worrying about making mistakes.
Lessons can include conversation practice, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading and everyday Brazilian Portuguese. I can also focus lessons around topics that interest you, such as travel, culture, food or everyday situations.
A typical lesson will last around 60 minutes and will include a mixture of learning new vocabulary or grammar and putting it into practice through speaking and activities.
My lessons are ideal for beginners, students or anyone wanting to improve their conversational Portuguese, pronunciation and confidence. No previous knowledge of Portuguese is necessary!
