About Emil
Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialise in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons create a low-pressure, encouraging space where you can feel comfortable exploring your voice at your own pace. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help you sing with ease and confidence. Mindfulness in music is also a key part of my teaching, helping you connect deeply with your voice and the songs you love. Tone development is another area I emphasise, guiding you to find a sound that feels natural and expressive. I teach a variety of genres including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. I’m passionate about helping people discover singing as a powerful form of self-care, creativity, and confidence-building. Whether you’re just starting out or coming back to singing after some time away, I’m here to support you. Let’s begin or restart your singing journey together—because it’s never too late to find your voice.

The singing methodology for advanced teens and quartet players centres on enhancing musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression. Advanced teens focus on vocal flexibility by exploring diverse genres and challenging techniques, helping them adapt their voice to various styles. Quartet players emphasise blending and harmony, refining pitch control to create a seamless group sound. Both personas work on building confidence through regular performance practice and vocal exercises that promote agility and control. Emotional expression is cultivated by connecting deeply with lyrics and storytelling, making each song personally meaningful. To support progress, we use digital tools like DAWs for recording and playback, vocal apps for pitch tracking, and metronomes to improve timing. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, balancing technical skills with artistic growth. Practical exercises include vocal runs, dynamic control, and harmonising drills. Motivation comes from setting achievable milestones and celebrating improvements. This approach ensures both individual excellence and group synergy, preparing singers for any musical challenge.
