About Piper

I hold a Master’s degree in Music with a specialization in vocal performance and have taught for over eight years. My training combines classical techniques with contemporary approaches, enabling me to help students develop both technical skill and expressive artistry in their singing. Throughout my career, I have worked with more than sixty learners, from beginners discovering their voice to advanced singers preparing for auditions, competitions, and performances. Many of my students have achieved notable milestones, including expanding their vocal range, mastering challenging repertoire, and performing confidently in public settings. In addition to teaching, I continue performing and studying vocal literature and modern techniques. This keeps my lessons relevant, engaging, and informed by current practices in singing. My ultimate goal is to help students sing with skill, confidence, and passion while fostering a lifelong connection to music.

About the lesson

My singing lessons start with developing vocal health and foundational technique. Students learn proper breathing, posture, and warm-up exercises designed to strengthen the voice safely. This approach ensures vocal endurance, clarity, and flexibility while preventing strain, preparing learners for both short practice sessions and full performances.

As learners progress, lessons emphasize pitch accuracy, resonance, and tone control. Students practice scales, exercises, and repertoire that challenge their vocal range and help refine their unique sound. I also focus on expressive elements, such as dynamics, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation, allowing learners to discover and develop their personal artistic voice.

Performance and stage presence are integral parts of my teaching. Learners practice microphone technique, audience engagement, and emotional delivery, while strategies for managing stage anxiety are provided. These lessons prepare students to perform confidently in auditions, recitals, and live events, showcasing both technical skill and expressive artistry.
