About Davidona

Hello! I am classically trained soprano and a pre-graduate of The Royal College of Music currently on the Masters in Performance degree. I have a First Class Honours in the BMus Vocal Performance degree and a First in Traditional Scots Song from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have studied at 3 of the top 10 conservatoires in the world including The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland where I spent my third year funded by the Erasmus+ scheme.

As a soprano, I have performed in major venues throughout the UK most notably, The Royal Albert Hall and The Wigmore Hall as well as performing opera throughout Europe in London, Helsinki and France. I have worked with internationally acclaimed singers and pianists including Roger Vignoles and Lisa Milne and I have been interviewed live on BBC Radio 3.

About the lesson

I am committed to providing lessons perfectly tailored to each student as singing should always be fun! I focus on building a healthy and strong technique which will help to achieve any goals the student might have whether it be working through grades (ABRSM) or exploring different repertoire. Every singing journey is different and I always encourage good communication in order to build a trusting working relationship between the tutor and student.

Prior to my postgraduate studies, I taught privately in Scotland and I also have experience workshopping with young children in kindergarten/reception at an independent school in Glasgow; reading, painting and singing with them. I also shadowed a music teacher interacting and singing with 4 to 10 year olds.

I have two years experience in The Alexander Technique and I am happy to include this method in our lessons.

Perfect! Davidona is an incredible teacher and she helped me a lot. She has fantastic ability to communicate her knowledge. Her great positive energy also gave me more confidence when I came to sing. I felt a big improvement in my voice and my technique improved a lot in just three months, there was a definite 'before and after.' I am a Spanish speaker from Peru and my english is not perfect, but she had a lot of patience and explained everything very clearly to me. I was very happy and I can't wait to get back to London and take more classes with her.
