About Shuwei
• Teaching Opera, classical, pop, children's voice, and contemporary types of music. • My teaching methods are strongly based on voice techniques, especially at the beginning of the teaching process. I sincerely believe that the techniques are the root for musical expressions. However, I am eager to share my appreciation of musicology with my students while they are working on technical challenges since the two are mutually dependent on each other. The inter-dependent relationship can stimulate the growth of both musicality and techniques. I finished my Master of Music at Western University in 2021, and am in my final year of pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts.

I have a degree in MMus at Western University, where I studied with mezzo-soprano Dr. Sophie Roland and Maestro Simone Luti. I am obsessed with voice pedagogy and am dedicated to bringing singing techniques as well as the passion for classical music to the world.
