About Ella

I am a passionate and dedicated singing tutor with over 10 years of experience, having taught 150–200 students of all levels, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced performers refining their professional skills. My teaching philosophy centres on personalised learning, ensuring that every lesson is tailored to the student’s voice, goals, and learning style. I believe that every voice is unique, and I work closely with students to uncover and nurture their natural strengths. In my lessons, I focus on vocal techniques, including breath control, tone, pitch accuracy, phrasing, and vocal agility, while also emphasising musical expression, emotional storytelling, and stage presence.

Lessons incorporate music theory, rhythm training, ear development, and creative exercises, providing a comprehensive foundation for every student. Creativity is central to my methodology; I encourage students to explore different musical styles, experiment with improvisation, and develop a distinctive, authentic voice. I provide guidance on auditions, competitions, recording, and stage performance, helping students gain confidence and perform at their best.

My methodology ensures that learning is exciting, personalised, and effective. Motivation drives students to believe in themselves, set clear goals, and celebrate progress. Communication creates a supportive space for sharing ideas, receiving feedback, and refining tone, pitch, and vocal techniques. With integrity, I provide honest guidance, encourage disciplined practice, and foster responsibility and respect. Creativity lets students explore different genres, improvise, and cultivate a unique voice while expressing emotion.

I also teach related areas like music theory, rhythm, ear training, and stage performance to develop a comprehensive musical skill set. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, interests, and objectives, blending structured exercises, practice, and interactive activities. This approach develops technical mastery, expressive performance, confidence, and stage readiness. By applying MCIC principles, I help students unlock their voice, grow as performers, and develop a lifelong love for music.
