About Marleen

Hello! My name is Marleen. Originally from Estonia, I have spent the last six years immersed in the UK music industry, honing my craft as a vocal mentor, songwriter, and producer. I hold a Master’s degree in Popular Music (Vocals) from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and a First Class Honours BA in Creative Artistry from the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM). My teaching background is highly practical; I have delivered one-to-one lessons at various schools across London and taught singing in Manchester to adults and children.

Having written dissertations on vocal anatomy for both degrees, I bring a science-based approach to the voice. I combine this anatomical knowledge with my deep understanding of songwriting, arrangement, music theory, and production to help you bridge the gap between learning music and actually creating it. Alongside teaching, I am an independent artist and freelance musician. This hands-on experience in the music industry means I understand exactly what it takes to bring a raw idea to life. Whether you are finding your voice or finalising your own songs, I am here to guide you with industry-standard expertise and a highly supportive approach.

* Techniques for Recording & Beginner Production: Learning the essentials of capturing your vocals at home.
* Overcoming Creative Blocks: Practical exercises to get you out of a rut and back into a creative flow.
* Constructive Track Feedback: Professional, supportive review and creative feedback on your existing unreleased songs.

Having had my fair share of one-to-one lessons as a student, I know exactly how intimidating that first lesson can be, especially when sharing your original ideas and creative artistry. I strive to provide a deeply encouraging, judgement-free environment where you can feel completely safe to experiment, make mistakes, and craft your unique sound.
