About Zoe
I am an experienced and qualified teacher, working in higher education for 5+ years. I am a kind, patient, and inclusive teacher, who knows the importance of a student-led approach to tutoring. I have PGCE in teaching and assessment, and a diploma in education. I am a fellow of higher education, and strive to create an inclusive teaching and learning space, where students' individual needs are met, and their successes are celebrated.

I am a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media and Communications with 5+ years working in the higher education sector. I am a qualified teacher for GCSE/A-Level and degree level in English, Film studies, and Filmmaking. I embrace a student-led teaching style, and can tailor my sessions to any students’ particular needs. I am a strong communicator, with excellent experience in designing teaching and assessment content for students in a variety of essay-based and practical subjects. I also offer tutoring on skills such as essay writing, referencing, and argument structuring. I am a patient and student-focused educator, who adopts a humanistic approach to teaching; wherein I tailor both the content and the approach to the students’ skills, strengths, and needs. I have a PGCE, postgraduate diploma, and working towards my master's degree in teaching. I have been nominated for best teacher and best project supervisor in the 2025 MMU Student Union teaching awards. I am an experienced teacher who is looking to find students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment. I am interested in supporting students from diverse backgrounds, and I provide a safe and supportive scaffolded approach for students looking to improve their work in a combination of study areas.
