About Abigail
I believe if you can teach someone a concept or subject, you have gained mastery over that course. My study strategy throughout the last two years has been teaching content I’ve learned to my peers before exams, which not only teaches them something they didn’t know, but reinforces the knowledge for me.
Many of my peers have had me help them study one-on-one for classes I previously aced, like general biology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, and more.
My style is best described personification of biological processes. I like to give enzymes and proteins wants and desires to help you connect with the information on a deeper level. The body is like one large factory and every molecule has a job to keep it running! This is a glimpse of my teaching style, making the information fun for you and easy to understand so you can have 100% confidence on test day.

Lessons will begin with your personal goals! Every study has a unique situation that requires tutoring to be tailored to them. I will teach you tried and true study techniques that will not only help you for your immediate exam, but the cumulative final and any graduate entrance exam you may take in the future (MCAT).
I have helped many colleagues learn difficult material in courses like cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology.
I know our time together is valuable so we won’t waste it on anything you already know. Topics you struggle to grasp will be the highlight of the session. After solidifying the concept, we will use the Socratic method to test your knowledge, followed by practice problems at the end. Your homework will be to implement these tools on your own time and rock your exam!
