About Steve
I am a senior UX/UI and product designer with more than 25 years of experience creating websites, applications, e-commerce platforms and complex digital products.
Throughout my career, I have worked across UX research, user interface design, product strategy, SaaS, e-commerce, accessibility, design systems and front-end development. This allows me to teach both the creative and technical sides of digital product design.
I have worked with businesses and brands across different industries, helping teams improve usability, simplify customer journeys and create products that meet both user needs and business goals.
Alongside my professional design work, I have taught UX/UI design, mentored aspiring designers and supported people moving into design from other careers. I enjoy making complex topics easier to understand and helping students build confidence through practical experience.
My teaching style is clear, supportive and honest. I focus on real-world skills rather than theory alone, including how to approach design problems, present your work, communicate with stakeholders and prepare for professional UX roles.
Whether you are completely new to UX, building your first portfolio, preparing for an interview or looking to progress into a more senior role, I will adapt each lesson around your goals and experience.

My lessons are practical, personalised and based on more than 25 years of experience working across UX, UI, product design and web development.
Each lesson is adapted to your current experience, career goals and the areas you want to improve. I teach complete beginners, career changers, students and working designers who want to strengthen their skills or progress into more senior roles.

Rather than only teaching software, I help you understand how professional designers think, solve problems and explain their decisions.
Lessons usually combine clear explanations, real examples, practical exercises and direct feedback. You can work through one of my prepared exercises or bring your own portfolio, website, app, client project or product idea.
By the end of each lesson, you will have practical work completed, clear feedback and specific actions to continue improving.
My aim is to make UX and UI design easier to understand, while helping you build the confidence and practical skills needed to work on real products.
