About Simran
My name is Simran and I am a tutor with a Master’s degree in Psychology and extensive experience supporting students as a Teaching Assistant in primary and secondary schools. I am passionate about teaching because I believe that every learner, including those with SEN or additional needs, deserves the right support, understanding, and encouragement to succeed. I enjoy creating lessons that are tailored to each student’s individual learning style, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges, and experience success in a way that feels safe and positive. My goal is to make learning accessible, engaging, and enjoyable while fostering independence, resilience, and self-belief in every student.

I take a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to tutoring where every learner feels safe, understood and respected. My teaching is highly personalised and adaptable, using clear structure, visual supports, sensory-aware strategies and gentle encouragement to help each student feel confident and capable. I specialise in supporting learners with SEN and additional needs, including those who benefit from movement breaks, alternative communication, confidence-building or behaviour support. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and include a warm check-in, small achievable steps towards learning goals, and time to practise skills with positive, constructive feedback. My tutoring is suitable for primary and secondary students in Maths and Science up to GCSE and Psychology from GCSE to A Level. I aim to help every learner believe in themselves, feel proud of their progress and enjoy learning again.
