About Deidre
I grew up in church all my life. My mother and grandmother taught Sunday school, and my love of reading passed down to me from these incredible women. I was given my call to preach at 16 years old. The following year, I was licensed to preach by my denomination.
At 19, while in the university class of an atheist professor, God spoke to me within and instructed me to attend seminary to learn how to refute my atheist professor. That's why I received my MDiv in Christian Apologetics in 2011. After leaving seminary, I was led to start an internet church plant that turned 4 years old this week!
I love the Bible because it is God's Word to us. Even in 2021, we still need a word from the Lord. God is still speaking, if we would only hear Him.

It is my belief that the Bible, like books in general, has to be read carefully to gain understanding. So many Christians want to understand the Bible but few know how to read it properly. The Bible requires some background in learning how to read it. As we encounter difficult passages, or those we struggle to understand, we'll talk about the process of reading and how to read to gain understanding.
We are learning about God and His plan of salvation in the Scriptures. God is holy and so, we must "study to show ourselves approved" unto Him.
