About Cameron
I took 10 years of piano lessons from my childhood up until the end of my freshman year of college. With eight and a half years of piano playing under my belt, I auditioned for and gained entrance into one of the top 25 music schools in America. I am a self-taught songwriter who has been writing lyrics for nearly four years and songs for about two years. I am a very lyrically driven writer who likes to incorporate poetic devices and pen unpredictable, meaningful rhymes. I have had vocal training for two years now as well. My freshman year of college consisted mainly of music courses, all of which I got As in, with the exception of one A-.

I am a self-taught songwriter who gives lessons for beginning songwriters, pianists, and singers. For each type of lesson, I assess the student's knowledge of music theory and then give an overview of the essentials they do not know. For songwriting lessons, I ask the student if they would like to start with a melody, lyrics/lyric concept, or a chord progression first, allow them to write or compose, and then move forward with that portion of the song or the remaining elements. For piano lessons, I teach the student how to read music, the different, staves, time signatures, etc. and then pick songs I feel are appropriate and challenging for them. For voice lessons, I ask the student what their goals are vocally. I then proceed to assess their knowledge of the voice and singing, and teach them about the basics they should know if they do not already. Each lesson consists of warm-ups to prepare the student for learning that day.
