About Dandee

I grew up with my mum baking at home so cakes and sweet treats has always been apart of my upbringing.

In 2010, I qualified as a nurse and several years later, me and my husband were expecting our first year and during my maternity leave from work, I decided not to return but to concerntrate on motherhood and it was during this time that I started an adventure of my own when I decided to bake and decorate my sons cake for his 1st birthday. I became obssessed with watching cake decorating videos and years later, I pursued it as a business and during during 2020, I got into teaching with my first session being on zoom.

About the lesson

Some need to be taught from scratch while others need some guidance and I am here to do just that regardless of where you are in your baking journey. My approach is to empower you by enocuraging you to do as much as possible. During our first call we can discuss what learning styles and techniques work best for you and we can go from there!

Baking and decoating is very much practical as well as visual.I specialise in buttercream cakes and have a good general knowledge on vegan cakes and recipes as well.

The lessons I cover include the following;
Registering your home based cake business with the local authorities
Trading at a market/ food fair
Decorating cupcakes
Decorating cakes
Packaging including labelling of allergens

Presently, I run my cake business from home alongside famiy life and other comittments.

Travel expenses is a starting from price and this would vary according to the location.
