About Finlay
I have just finished my A-Level course and I am looking to offer maths and computer programming lessons to students up to GCSE level before I go to university to study Computer Science in September.
At GCSE level I obtained a 9 for Maths, and I am predicted an A* for A-Level Maths. I did not study computer science at GCSE Level or A-Level, since my school did not offer such a subject choice to its students, so I am completely self taught in computer programming.
In terms of computer languages, I have the most experience in C++, a fast, object oriented language, and in addition I have experience in Python when working with artificial intelligence and C# when scripting computer games.
I have not had any teaching experience as of yet, however I will be fine with offering a trial lesson at no cost.

My teaching method is to break down topics into smaller, more easily understandable pieces, and then I piece them together one by one to form a bigger picture of the topic, this will help with making the topic more manageable and it will also help build an understanding of how something may work, instead of just what it does.
