About Jacob

Hey, I'm Jacob!

I actually enjoy the LNAT itself (shocker!) because it’s less about memorising and more about how you think, and I love watching that click for someone.

I remember how stressful mine felt, so I want to be the calm, honest voice I needed back then.

About the lesson

I scored 35/42 on the LNAT and I’m now studying Law at Cambridge. I teach the way I wish I’d been taught through a combination of fast paced comprehension drills and slower read throughs of sample papers. I believe this is the best way to develop a student who can both identify the key aspects of a text quickly but also understand it holistically.

In terms of essay writing, I also try to break it up as much as possible with a combination of paragraph write ups (at the beginning) and long form essays (first untimed then timed). I will encourage you to write essays on subjects that you find interesting- given that there is a choice in the exam! I will also push you to write essays that argue a point which you might disagree with, since in the exam you may find the best argument you can write is for a view that you oppose!

Finally, I try to give students as much opportunity to tailor the lesson to their needs as possible, especially since the wide range of skills required to succeed in the LNAT means different students will inevitably have varying strengths and weaknesses!
