About Robert
I've always known that I wanted to study finance. Even before starting my A-Levels, I had developed a strong passion for investment management and strategy. During my GCSEs, I led a team that became the most profitable in the Wharton Investment Competition, which encouraged me to pursue a degree in Finance and Investment Banking.
When I first started A-Level Economics, I was surprised by how different it was from what I wanted to study. Having already explored financial markets before starting my A-Levels, I found some of the theoretical material discouraging. This is why I want to help students overcome that hurdle, develop a genuine understanding of Economics and ultimately succeed in their future careers.
I believe that practising is the key to succeeding in exams. However, regular practice alone is not enough! It is paramount to receive feedback on your work and focus on areas where you may struggle, which is why I prefer to take an adaptable approach. The first lesson is always about finding out what your weak points are and where you may lose marks, before working on tackling those areas and providing further feedback. Lessons typically last 1 hour and 15 minutes, although I am flexible!
