About Tara
I have been playing piano for decades, singing for just as long, and have always enjoyed writing my own music as well. I am classically trained, but I have an appreciation for all genres. I can play any song I know by ear, which gives me an advantage in testing out chord progressions and coming up with instrumentation.
Recent experience includes holiday caroling at Casa Loma, hosting shows with my former band Paradigm Choir, and providing musical accompaniment for downtown musical showcase The Middle of Nowhere.
Additionally, I have seriously gotten into music production in the last year, and I'd love to share some of my wisdom with passionate and dedicated students.

Together, your child and I will work towards build a song, drawing inspiration from literally anything that fills them with passion. We will write each track separately, learning about principles of composition and production along the way. In the end, you will receive a downloadable song that you can keep - and publish!
As a tutor, I always listen to what my students have to say, and take their input into account as I plan out their lessons. I like to take things at a pace that allows a lot of time for asking questions and going over difficult concepts. I feel there is no rush to learn new concepts, and rushing in fact often draws out the process in the long term.
