About Blake
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 19 years of teaching experience, helping school students, college students, and working professionals develop their musical skills. I believe every student can make progress when they receive the right guidance and consistent support.
I first understand the student's current abilities, musical interests, goals, learning preferences, and practice availability. I then create lessons that are suitable for their level and adjust them as they progress.
My teaching includes piano fundamentals, finger exercises, hand coordination, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song learning, improvisation, and performance skills.
I use clear explanations, demonstrations, practical exercises, and real musical examples. I encourage students to connect theoretical knowledge with actual playing so that learning becomes more meaningful.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, communication, flexibility, understanding, and positive motivation. I encourage learners to ask questions and communicate openly about challenges. I believe a supportive approach can help students overcome fear and build confidence.
I also teach effective practice strategies. Students learn how to divide complex pieces into smaller sections, focus on difficult passages, manage time, and set achievable goals.
A notable achievement in my 19-year teaching journey is gaining experience with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. This has helped me develop strong adaptability, mentoring, and communication skills.
My aim is to help learners become confident, creative, disciplined, and independent musicians. Whether you want to play for relaxation, improve your technique, learn songs, or prepare for a performance, I provide personalized support based on your goals.

My piano teaching methodology combines Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe musical concepts become easier when they are explained clearly and connected to practical piano playing.
I begin by understanding the student's current piano knowledge, musical experience, learning style, and goals. I then organize lessons in a way that allows students to learn one skill at a time and gradually build confidence.
Beginners learn posture, hand position, finger control, notes, rhythm, scales, chords, and simple songs. Experienced students can work on technique, sight-reading, musical expression, interpretation, and performance.
I use demonstrations, simple explanations, written examples, listening activities, repetition, and practical exercises. If a student does not understand a concept, I explain it differently and provide additional practice.
Flexibility allows me to adjust the lesson speed according to individual progress. Collaboration is encouraged through song selection, goal setting, practice planning, and progress discussions.
My positive approach helps students remain motivated even when they face difficult skills. I provide constructive feedback and encourage students to focus on progress rather than perfection.
In addition to piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to make piano learning clear, supportive, and enjoyable.
