About Jill
I'm a lifelong lover of the performing arts and all things sports—especially when it comes to Boston teams (go Sox, Pats, Bruins, and Celtics!). With a strong background in dance and theater, I’ve had the privilege of choreographing over 10 productions and stage managing 12 community theater shows, where I’ve combined my passion for storytelling, movement, and behind-the-scenes magic. For 10 incredible years, I was a performer in entertainment parades and shows at Walt Disney World, an experience that deepened my love for live performance and taught me the value of precision, professionalism, and joy in every show. Whether I’m calling cues from backstage or creating choreography that brings characters to life, I’m always driven by collaboration, energy, and a deep respect for the creative process.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I approach choreography as collaboration, not just instruction. I work to build trust and openness in the studio, where students feel safe to explore, question, and contribute. My background blends professional performance with dance pedagogy, allowing me to support dancers technically while nurturing their individual voice.

I teach stage management through a hands-on, real-world approach, combining case studies, script work, paperwork templates, and live simulation exercises. I emphasize the development of soft skills (communication, leadership, conflict resolution) alongside technical proficiency in cue calling, scheduling, and show documentation.
My teaching style is organized, calm, and mentorship-driven, providing clear structure but with flexibility for individual learning needs.
