About Kshama

I am a Ph.D.-trained scientist with over 20 years of experience across academia, research, and the biotechnology industry.
Along the way, teaching, training, and mentoring have always been an important part of my work.

I have taught Genetics to undergraduate students and Anatomy & Physiology at the community college level, and have trained and mentored junior scientists in molecular biology and laboratory techniques. These experiences have taught me how to break down complex scientific ideas and explain them in ways that make sense to different learners.

I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working through difficult concepts, and learning at their own pace.

My goal goes beyond improving grades. I want students to understand biology, think scientifically, and become confident and curious learners.

About the lesson

Biology Myth Buster

Myth: Biology is all about memorization.

Reality: Biology makes a lot more sense when you understand the why behind it.

Instead of memorizing endless terms and pathways, I help students connect the dots—why a process happens, how the pieces fit together, and what happens when something changes. Once the why clicks, there’s a lot less to memorize.

Understand it. Connect it. Then remember it.
