About Shougata
Hello, shougata a passionate chess player and instructor with six years of playing experience and over two years of teaching experience. As a FIDE-rated player with ratings of 1626 in Rapid, 1525 in Classical, and 1585 in Blitz, I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise to the table.
Fluent in English, Bengali, and Hindi, I've had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, hailing from countries such as the USA, Panama, Australia, Bangladesh, India, and SEZ. My teaching philosophy is rooted in a deep understanding of the game, coupled with effective communication skills to ensure my students grasp even the most intricate concepts.
My own achievements include winning the State U-19 championship and participating in the national tournaments conducted by SGFI on two occasions. With a commitment to excellence and a dedication to fostering a love for chess in others, I'm excited to embark on this journey of learning and growth together with you.
