About Emma
In my current role at Osborn School, I serve as a primary support for students, providing individual and group counseling, coaching on study skills, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, and fostering a sense of belonging through structured peer groups such as “Lunch Bunch.” I regularly collaborate with teachers, families, and outside providers to ensure holistic support for each student, and I develop individualized strategies to address disengagement or academic challenges. My experience includes conducting risk assessments, creating crisis plans, and guiding students through goal-setting and self-monitoring skills directly aligned with the mentorship and accountability responsibilities of this role. Beyond direct student support, I have led “Parent University” workshops to extend SEL strategies to families, strengthen home-school communication, and celebrate student growth. I am comfortable leveraging digital tools to maintain consistent communication, track progress, and deliver virtual support when necessary. My approach is solutions-focused, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that every student can reach their full potential with the right guidance and resources. Earlier in my career, I developed and implemented a comprehensive counseling program at Far Brook School, where I worked one-on-one with children with autism at Family Path Autism Services, designing individualized interventions to enhance their social, emotional, and developmental skills. These experiences have equipped me to adapt to diverse learning needs and guide students and families through non-traditional educational pathways.
