About Kun

My name is Kun Huang from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I participated in bands at many levels, ranging from local, provincial and national. I was a member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, the University of Manitoba concert band, the Manitoba honor band, the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra Honor Jazz program and the National Youth Band of Canada. Currently, I am playing in the University of Toronto Wind Ensemble and Toronto Saxophone Collective, and many more saxophone quartets with various people performing in Toronto. As a saxophone player, I play four of the main saxophone family, ranging from soprano to baritone. My goal in teaching is that students will learn the process and ways to practice the saxophone so they will not be learning bad habits from now on. And hopefully the interactions between us would be fun!!

About the lesson

As a classical saxophonist, I understand many things that a younger player might forget.

I offer fundamentals, personalized how-to-practice guidance, and sound concepts.

I can play in various styles, including classical, jazz, pop, and gospel music, but to take these styles to the next level, fundamentals are the key.

I can travel 20 km from my house; fees will be added depending on how far the location is.
