About Charlotte

I am currently a teaching assistant for a year 6 class, assisting in providing positive and productive support for the class teacher and working with students to improve the standards of maths and english. I have ownership of additional English lessons for groups of both year 5 and 6 students, and will complete a PGCE with QTS in 2024 to become a qualified Teacher.

I love providing additional learning support to both small student groups and one-on-one support within my school, and the most rewarding part of it all is seeing students gain confidence in their own abilities.

I also provide cover where necessary across the school, so have experience working with children from reception all the way up to year 6, so am knowledgeable on the different strategies used to engage students from all different year groups.

In addition, I have an up to date DBS check, and have completed various training sessions ranging from student confidentiality to keeping children safe in education. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and I am more than happy to have a chat.

About the lesson

I love to teach one-on-one to ensure that each individual child's needs are met. I will aim to assess specific areas of weakness and create engaging, fun lessons to help students reach their full potential. I am a huge advocate for learning through activity and will provide learning materials suitable for the students age range. My belief is that learning should be a positive experience, and I pride myself in celebrating each and every success a pupil makes along the way.
