About Olga

Hello and welcome! My name is Olga. I am a Sanskrit teacher, historical linguist, minority & indigenous languages advocate. I am currently teaching Sanskrit at Humboldt University of Berlin in Germany. I also offer private tutoring in Sanskrit and other Classical Indo-European languages. I am originally from Ukraine, but I moved from my home 15 years ago to explore the world and its linguistic diversity. Wherever I go, I try to learn about the local language and culture.

About the lesson

My method I believe that every language learner requires an individual approach. That is why I provide students with highly personalized material in my courses. In the first lesson we will discuss your interests, goals and previous knowledge. Following that, I will design an optimized learning schedule for you. In my lessons you can learn about Sanskrit literary tradition, how to read and write Devanagari script and broaden the understanding of the complex grammar. You will build up your vocabulary step by step, improve your understanding of sentence structures and start reading Sanskrit texts. My students I have been teaching Sanskrit and other foreign languages to students of all ages, from various cultural backgrounds and of various levels of expertise. No matter if you are willing to improve your understanding of Yoga vocabulary, read ancient Indian scriptures or learn a highly systematic and complex language, I am sure I will be able to find the right approach. My lessons I am fluent in English, German, Russian and Ukrainian languages, so you can choose one of these to be taught in. My schedule is flexible and I am available on weekends as well as most weekdays.
