About Romain

Bonjour! I'm Romain, a native French speaker from France, living in Copenhagen. I'm doing a master's in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
I tutored a high school student in french for a full year and saw them make real, steady progress, which was really rewarding. That's what made me want to keep teaching.
I speak French and English fluently, and I've just started learning Danish myself, so I know how it feels to learn a new language: the doubts, the mistakes, and the joy when things finally click.
I want to share my language and culture in a natural, relaxed way, so you gain confidence and actually enjoy speaking French.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around you. In the first session, we talk about your level, your goals and what you find difficult, whether that's grammar, speaking or getting ready for an exam. I focus a lot on speaking, because that's where most students lack confidence. We practice with real, everyday French: conversations, music, short videos and topics you actually care about. Grammar is explained simply and step by step, with lots of examples. For school students, I can help with homework, written assignments and oral exam preparation. As a native speaker from France, I can also share the culture and the way French people really speak today. Mistakes are welcome, and lessons stay relaxed and fun!
