About Sara

I grew up in Cali, Colombia, where I started training professionally at the age of 8. Dance has never just been something I do — it is who I am.

I graduated from Incolballet, the only professional dance school in Cali, where I trained in classical ballet and national dances. Salsa is in a different category — you don't learn it in a classroom, you absorb it by living in Cali, being part of the arts scene, going out, feeling the music. I also trained in Cali salsa academies, and that combination of street culture and professional technique is what makes my teaching unique.

I know what it feels like to learn something new. I know how exciting it is and how intimidating it can be. That is why my classes are fun, relaxed and pressure-free — I want every student to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived, not overwhelmed.

I am patient, charismatic, and I genuinely love what I do. If you are looking for a teacher who will make you feel comfortable, keep you motivated and actually make you laugh along the way, I am your person.

I believe anyone can dance. You need the right person to show you how.

About the lesson

My lessons are for complete beginners to intermediate students who want to learn authentic Cali-style salsa.

I start every class with a warm up — stretching and hip exercises to get the body moving and loose. From there we work on rhythm, learning to listen and feel the music before anything else. Once you are comfortable with the timing, we move into the basic steps, slowly building up your footwork and coordination.

Lessons are fun and relaxed. No pressure, no stress — just you, the music, and the movement.

Classes are 45 to 60 minutes and I tailor every session to your level and pace.
